POSITION :-  Training Coordinator, Personal Services Contractor

  • WORK HOUR'S:- Full-time; 40 hours a week.
                     The Peace Corp's program in Nepal places American Volunteer's in two-year assignments in villages and towns in rural Nepal. Peace Corp's is seeking experienced and qualified applicant's for the full time contracted position: of Training Coordinator (TC).

                                       Under the specific  criteria direction of the Director's of Programming and Training [DPT] - Training Manager (TM ) the incumbent will support in developing, preparing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating and reporting of Peace of Corp's sponsored Pre-Service :Training (PST), In-Service Trainings (ISTs/MSTs) / Completion of Service (COS) training, and workshops or camp's for Trainee's and Volunteers. Further, TC will support in recruitment, selection and training:- of seasonalor temporary training staff, and coordination of the work of the Language and Cross-culture Coordinator.


  • Graduate Degree preferred.
  •  Work experience with American or international organization's, and preferably organization's that achieve their mission through volunteerism. 
  • Experience planning and implementing host family selection processe's for American or other foreign Trainee's. 
  • Experience planning and implementing Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions for short-term or  seasonal staff. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill's, including empathy, coaching skill's, and providing direct feedback.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating learning session's that embrace student-centered learning/critical thinking/ and the Experiential Learning Cycle's.
  • Experience coordinating the work of seasonal or short-term training staff. 

  • University Bachelor’s degree in any discipline!
  • Minimum two years of experience in facilitating training sessions about Nepali language, culture, and traditions,values,customs and practice's of the ethnic diversities of Nepal.
  • Minimum one year experience coordinating training logistics and or event planning for communitybased training event's.
  • Speaking  in both English and Nepali [written and spoken] is required, and an ability to quickly and accurate translate from Nepali to English, and vice versa.
  • Proficiency in the use MS Office application's .[Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/etc and internet].
  • Must be able to live's and work outside of Kathmandu for 13 - 15 week's during peak training season's .
  •  Must meet US Embassy security clearance requirements.
